The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning (ABP) host workshops, lectures and exhibitions on a monthly basis, often in conjunction with international and local practises. Various networking and career development activities are also organised throughout the year.

GSBE has a well-established mentoring program run by the Business and Economics Careers Centre (BECC), through which many alumni are involved as student career mentors. BECC also offers a variety of careers services including individual consultations, group sessions and workshops for alumni after graduation.

The Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE) runs the Dean's Lecture Series throughout the academic year. Delivered by internationally renowned experts, these events are free of charge and very popular with a wide range of education professionals.

Engineering

The Melbourne School of Engineering runs a diverse reunion program designed to offer something for alumni across a range of age groups and disciplines. Alumni interested in organising their own reunion are encouraged to contact engineering's alumni relations staff for assistance.
Another way alumni can get involved is through sharing experiences with current and future students, through submitting profiles for publications, speaking at an event or getting involved in activities such as Open Day. Alumni can register their interest in becoming involved by sending an email.
Plan your career
Recent graduates and students have access to a careers program officer who works within the school to provide one-on-one advice and run workshops designed to support individuals in expanding their professional horizons.

Stay in touch with your legal speciality through one of the Melbourne Law School's (MLS) research centres. Each provides benefits such as newsletters for specific areas of interest, and invitations to seminars and conferences, where alumni can network with guest speakers and MLS academic staff, accrue professional development/Continuing Legal Education (CLE) points by attending seminars and conferences, and enter competitions offered exclusively to MLS students and alumni.
Mentor
Alumni can offer guidance and support to a first-year student by signing-up to the MLS Mentor Program, designed to motivate and encourage students academically and provide a sense of career direction. Mentors support students' formal academic training by providing a link to the profession and exposure to the professional practice.
Plan your career
Alumni can register for careers consultations for up to six months following completion of their degree, or attend the dedicated Alumni Careers Evening or Melbourne Juris Doctor (JD) Orientation Evening - a high profile annual event that launches the current year's JD program. Alumni can also deepen knowledge and understanding in a general or specialised area of law through the Melbourne Law Masters program.

Land and Environment

The Melbourne School of Land and Environment's (MSLE) provides many opportunities for alumni to debate and discuss industry trends and topics through the Dean's Lecture Series, featuring highly respected thought leaders from Australia and abroad. A list of other MSLE events can be viewed on the event calendar. The Dean's Lectures are free and past events can be downloaded from MSLE's website.
MSLE hosts reunions throughout the year (the Dookie 125th Anniversary in 2011 is particularly noteworthy) as well as a lively program of professional and short courses. For anyone interested in horticulture, the Friends of Burnley Gardens group runs events at the Burnley campus and are always happy to welcome new members.

Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences

Alumni are welcome to come along to the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) Dean's Lecture Series, which confronts issues within the health sciences sector and provides a forum for international thought leaders to discuss their thoughts on global health issues. Alumni are also welcome to join in reunions celebrations and the Annual Medical Society Lecture, as well as a host of other events.

The Faculty of Science has a global community of alumni who are valuable contributors in terms of advice, advocacy and support. The faculty seeks to provide alumni with every opportunity to further nurture their artistic talent, through scholarships and enrichment opportunities created to enable students to enrich their learning and find inspiration through travelling and studying overseas.
Alumni can also register with the Artists Booking Service, a professional agency seeking performing artists specialising in classical and contemporary music, contemporary dance and choreography, roving and street performances, actors, production staff and visual artists.
